Privacy Notice
What we collect, why, who else sees it, and how to make us delete it.
The short version
We are a small consulting business. We collect personal data in two situations: you fill in a form here, or we contact you about your company’s shipments into Brazil. We do not sell data, we do not run advertising, and we set no tracking cookies. Ask us to delete your data and we will.
Everything below is the detail behind that.
Who is responsible

When you use a form
There are three. Required fields are required because the form is rejected without them.

We use this to answer you and, if it goes somewhere, to run the engagement. All three forms run a check that you are not a bot, and we briefly record your IP address to limit how often one address can submit.
If your message mentions other people — your broker, your customer’s contact, an official — their details arrive with it. We cannot practically notify them, so we do not use them for our own outreach, we do not enrich them, and we delete them on request.
Analytics
We run our own analytics, self-hosted in the EU rather than handed to an analytics company. There are no cookies and no cross-site identifier, and your browser is not contacting a third party to make it work. We use it to see which pages people read and where they abandon the readiness check.
Your IP address and browser string are used to derive a daily visitor identifier and an approximate city, then discarded — we keep no record of the address itself. Be clear about what that is: it is pseudonymisation, not magic. Within a single day, the pages one visitor looked at can be seen as one visit. Across days they cannot.
We do not act on “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals — we have not implemented that, and we will not claim a control we do not have. If you would rather we did not count your visits at all, write to us and we will tell you how to switch it off.
If we contacted you first
We approach companies that ship regulated industrial equipment into Brazil. Where we do, we hold business contact details — name, role, work email, employer — obtained from the company’s own website, public professional profiles, trade and industry sources, or a business contact data provider. If you want to know where yours came from, ask us and we will tell you.
We do this because we believe a company already shipping into Brazil has a genuine interest in hearing from us, and we assess that against your rights before contacting anyone. You can object at any time and we will stop, with no reason needed: reply to any message or write to us. We keep a permanent suppression record so you are not contacted again — that record is the only thing we retain about you afterwards, and it exists solely to honour the objection.
Who else sees your data
We use a small number of established service providers to run the business. Each receives only what its job needs and handles it for us for that purpose. The categories are:
- Website hosting, security and bot protection
- Email delivery and our own mailboxes
- Notification and scheduling tools
- Outreach tooling, which also holds our do-not-contact list
Our lead records and our analytics run on our own servers in the EU rather than on a third-party platform. Where we bring in Brazilian specialists — a customs broker, tax or legal counsel — that happens under a client engagement, not from a website enquiry, and we tell you who is involved.
Some providers are based outside the EU, mainly in the United States and Switzerland, so your data may be handled there. We share the minimum each one needs. We will hand over data if the law requires it, and we do not sell it under any circumstances. If you want to know exactly who is involved, ask and we will tell you.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that go nowhere: we review them at least once a year and delete what we no longer need, starting with the free-text description of your shipment. Client records: for as long as the engagement runs, then as long as we are required to keep business records. Suppression records: indefinitely, because deleting one would let us contact you again by mistake. If you want something gone sooner, ask.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, receive it in a portable format, or object to our using it — and if you are objecting to marketing, we stop, full stop, no balancing.
Email ivan@brazilentryspecialists.com. We answer within one month. There is no charge for a normal request. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we send personal data anywhere. If you are unhappy with how we handled it, you can complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.
Security and changes
Everything is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the people who need it, and our own servers sit behind an authentication gate. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise.
This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data. We do not ask for sensitive categories of data — health, beliefs, and so on — so please do not send them. If we change this notice we update the date below; if a change is significant, we say so here.
